My wife woke up a few days ago with the right outer side of her vagina swollen and there was a lump also on the outside, more towards her leg. Now a few days later, there is still a lump and it is still red/purpleish and swollen. She told me it hurt a little but there was no other side affects. We tried heat and cold compresses but it seems like it is not helping. We havent had intercourse about two weeks prior to seeing this so we are kind of ruling it out. Can you help us figure out what this is and how to treat it? We would like to see a doctor but we dont have insurance. Much appreciated for the help, thank you.

You should contact your local Health Department. They can tell you about all of the free clinics that are in your area, take her to see a doctor.
It sounds like a cyst or a infected lymph node, but either way it doesnt sound good, please see a doctor.
Well you can call your local ER and tell them whats going on and ask them if theres anything you can do and tel them that you dont have insurance and they should tell you what you can do so you dont have to go to the ER.

There is no need to see a doctor.This is caused from the seem of her jeans rubbing on her skin. This happens all the time.Tell her to wear loose clothing for a few days.
