Unprotected sex?

I have been on yazmin birth control for 3 months now, and before that I was on loestrin 24 fe for 5 months. But yet my boyfriend refuses to have unprotected sex with me, We both lost our virginities to each other, so we are clean. Is there anything for him to worry about, and is it safe for us to begin having unprotected sex?

Is he refusing the have unprotected sex because of a fear of pregnancy? If that's the ONLY reason, then you should be fine without using condoms at this point, IF you are taking your pills every day at the same time like you should.
However, no method is 100% safe, so using condoms as well is really a good idea to make sure you don't get pregnant. It's very responsible of him to want to continue doing so!

Maybe he doesn't want to take any chances. Even with protection, there's always a chance. You can have unprotected sex someday...for now be glad that he cares for you enough to not pressure you, and to not risk a pregnancy. Sometimes its best just to not take that chance.

well, he just wants to be safe. so its better to use two birth controls when you can! but you can tell him it would feel better for both of you if he didn't use a condom...
