Question:
The other night I had sex (same guy for the past two months and use a condom) and was not painful but half way through it I started to bleed. The blood was bright red and was enough to get on the sheets - this has never happened to me before so I am nervous. Once we stopped having sex I spotted for about 45 min (not a lot) and it turned more brownish-red. We started sex quickly so I do not know if I tore - but I didn't bleed until a bit into sex. I am supposed to get my period next week and have been on birth control for almost 5 years and just recently (4 months ago) switched over to Yaz - where I have spotted a couple times, but nothing like this.
I also had a pap smear in Jan - all clear (had some issues previously with abnormal cells but I am fine now).
Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated!

That has happened to me as well. I'm not sure what causes it, but you could call your doc if you are worried. It's probably a fluke since you just switched BC. Your body may just be confused and hormones may be fluctuating.
