does anyone have any views on IUD's? witch is better the copper (paraguard) or hormonal (mirena)? Which has more or the worst side effects? Does it hurt?

Answers:
I have the Mirena IUD. I love it. It does not hurt and my husband does not feel it when we have sex (which we have 3-4 times a week). The only side effect is that your period is irregular for the first year and then, it's just light spotting after that. The other thing is you cannot use a tampon because you might pull on the wrong string and take out your IUD by accident. I hope this helps. Good luck.
i think that they are both horrible. I have allergic reactions to everything. if you really want something like that a girlfriend of mine says neuvo (sp?) ring is amazing. she has said that you leave it in for three weeks and take it out for one to menstrate.
