Question:
Any medication you can get for it instead of getting an antibiotic. My symptoms: Urge to go pee, Pain in that area. I'm pretty sure it's nothing else. I'm 15. I want to avoid going to the doctor. Is this what i have? Thanks. Any suggestions helpful.

I had a UTI last year and the symptoms were: frequent urge to pee but little if nothing came out when I tried, pain in the area, and a fever. I did not want to go to the doctor, so I drank glass after glass of water as well as loads of cranberry juice (real juice, not "juice drink" crap loaded with sugar) even though it really hurt to pee. My symptoms were gone after about three days. I had a gyno appointment the next week anyway, and I asked my gyno if it is possible to flush a UTI out of your system by drinking tons of water and cranberry juice, and he said yes, but I asked him to do a urinalysis anyway just to make sure that all of the bacteria was gone, and it was.

HOWEVER, untreated UTIs can cause a lot of damage, including severe kindey problems. Also, you could have the symptoms of herpes and not a UTI. I was glad that I spoke to my dcotor about it and had the urinalysis done just to be safe. You really should go to the doctor to have it checked out to make sure it is a UTI and not something else.
CRANDBERRY JUICE ALLLL DAY & ALOT OF WATER TO FLUSH OUT YOUR SYSTEM
Yes it is very likely that you have a UTI but you need to go to the doctor for an antibiotic. Anything else with not treat the infection it will just treat the symptoms until you get to the doctor.
if it is a UTI,,,only a dr and an antibiotic will get rid of it. you can help yourself with plenty of fluids (when you think you have had enough DRINK MORE), drink cranberry juice (or they make pills). if not treated it can spread to your kidneys and cause an infection there also and that HURTS. trust me get to a dr. this is not an infection to deal with on your own. if you have the urge, only get a few drops, burning, pain, sometimes run a fever, cramps (bladder spasms) see a dr. sometimes if it is bad enough you will notice blood in the urine.
It may be UTI. You should go to the doctor and get antibiotics b/c if u let it go, it could get worse and u may end up with a kidney or bladder infection. That's a hospital visit. Though if you are sexually active, it may be sign of something else i.e. STD or even pregnancy. Good Luck!
go to a gynocologist, urologist, or family dr. antibiotic is the best relief youll find and you dont want permanent problems from letting it go. im not a women but idefinately have urological side effects that suck. p.s. cranberry juice and lots of it creates an unsuitable environment for bacteria. also if you get these frequently make sure your wiping toward your but and not foward as this pushes bacteria into the significantly shorter female urethra. also after sexual relations(when your old enough) always pee after sex to wash the bacteria out that were rubbed into there by the act.
Absolutely not, if you do have a UTI (which by the two symptoms you very well could), you need to go see a doctor. ASAP. If you do not get it checked out, it will just get worse.. and who knows maybe it's not a UTI, it could be something else. But definately try a doctor before you go looking for the almighty cure that just won't work.
YES, Cranberry juice is the best, as long as you drink it constantly, your painful urination will go away in no time! try not to drink anything besides cranberry juice until it goes away.
