I assume you are young? Have you had your first period yet? If so, the odor (fishy?) is probably coming from this being the middle of your cycle, or ovulation - when the egg is released from the ovaries. The discharge you are experiencing is normal. Your vagina has its own self-cleaning system and the discharge you have is the vagina's cleaning solution. It is an uncomfortable feeling. I suggest you wear a mini pad (deodorant for the smell) during the entire month, change often. The discharge will probably happen for the years you have your periods and the pad will give you a sense of protection. Too, wearing a pad every day can also keep you protected should you begin your period away from home and otherwise may not have a pad with you.
If there is a bad smell then you need to go see the doctor and get checked out. The white stuff is normal discharge and you can wear a pantyliner to protect your underwear. I am betting the smell is normal but if you find it to be a nasty odor then see a doc. Remember to never use soaps or body wash in the vaginal area.
me too! so weird idk!
All women have some discharge. When you notice a change in your discharge (color or odor) it's time to see your Dr. Typically a change in odor is vaginitis caused by bacteria. It is easily treated. Yeast infections don't usually have a fishy odor. Pads and tampons with a deodorant should be avoided as well as harsh soaps or bubble baths.
If you have a noticeable odor and thick clumpy discharge you can have an infection and you should go see your doctor, vaginal discharge is your bodies natural way of cleansing itself and all women have it, but it shouldn't have a fowl smell. Do you have any itching or burning? If you do then you probably have a yeast infection and you can just go to the store and buy some monistat. If you just have a very fowl smelly discharge then that sounds like a bacterial problem and you need to go see your doctor for antibiotics. I hope this helped.
I use "special" soap...Summer's Eve feminine soap or wash. I also shave...everything.and take a shower or bath everyday. Make sure you use a wash cloth and scrub well!!
Also, for the discharge that comes out, use a pantyliner...they help!
The white stuff that is on your panties is something you have before you get your period. Every girl gets that before her period begins. It's normal.
