Answers:
Try using a smaller, slender tampon like Playtex SlimFits. They have a plastic applicater that is easier for sliding in and they're more slender than the average tampon.

Also, remember that the vagina does NOT go up. It lies flat and horizonally so angle the tampon towards your tailbone.

I recently switched to a DivaCup and tried putting it up but the vagina lies horizontally and FLAT - it's true!

If you are still having problems, you may have penetration problems which means that you have a thick hymen, and you might need to visit an ob-gyn for help (: Good Luck!
Try using the really small tampons made for teens.
You can try laying on your back, with your knees bent, and then let them fall open (like your getting a pelvic exam at the doctors) and then inserting it. If you are worked up about it before you even start, then it will be harder for you. You have to try and relax.
just relax and try to put it in. it might hurt cause you are inserting it the wrong way. go to beinggirl.com anf find instructions on how to insert a tampon. after you do it a few times, it get less scary. good luck!
