How come i can go months up to 8 months witout my period??

Question:

Answers:
personally, i think your doctor is full of crap.

missing periods frequently could be a problem with your hormones, ovaries, vitamin deficancy, or a TON of other stuff.

if you notice any other wymptoms that have to do with hromones (mood swings, more body hair, etc) you should go to an OB.GYN or endocrinologist and have them test your estrogen and testosterone levels.

if you notice symptoms from lack of vitamins (brittle nails and hair, weird skin coloration), start taking a multivitamin and see if it imporves (you may want to do this anyway, they're good for you in general)
thats not normal you need to see a doctor.
First i recommend seeing your doctor. But I went 3 months without mine because i was under a lot of stress. Many factors can cause this problem and your doctor could help you find the answer.
I could go several YEARS without a period. I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

It's not healthy. If your doctor tells you that it's "normal," find another doctor. Not menstruating increases risks of cancers.

Yes, women are all different, but there's a reason why you're not on a regular schedule. You need to figure that out. If it's a medical condition, you need to get it treated so that you don't have fertility problems later on!

Good luck!
