Planned parenthood?

Question:
I am going to take my daughter to planned parenthood for birth control. the doctor says she should be on it for her period. I am on the pill and it costs $55 a month so i dont want to pay over $100 for us both. so if i let her go in and get it herself..about how much money do you think it will cost? is it free or what? im taking her to one in PA if that helps.

Answers:
I went to Planned Parenthood before going to my doctor for birth control. They will give it to your daughter for free if you can't afford it or if your insurance won't cover it. It's really a great program. You should talk to your own doctor though because $55 dollars a month is way too much to be paying. My insurance allows me to pay only 20 dollars for three months worth. Even without my insurance I could still get my pills for less than 50 dollars. I hope things work out for you. Best of luck.
Most local health units provide birth control pills free of charge.
I don't know what pharmacy you're buying your pills from or what kind they are, but you're getting shafted. As long as your daughter is using them only for control of her period rather than pregnancy prevention, simply ask the doctor to write the prescription for an older, generic version of the pill. You should be able to pick up something like that at Wal-mart for around twenty dollars a month (or less).
it shouldn't cost anything, but i am in texas
Most planned parenthoods will do it free of charge. It's what they do. They will occassionally ask for a donation of some sort, but that's all I can think of. Most of the time they will calculate your annual income, along with your daughters and see if you can pay for it. Yep, now I am done!
Sounds like you need to get your pills through planned parenthood too. $55 is WAAAYYYY too much to pay for pills. Pills at PP are either free or low cost if you can't afford them or don't have insurance. This plan is for anyone not just teens.
the point of planned parenthood is to give condoms, birth control and access to health officials free of charge so that mean confidentiality.if Ur paying Ur doctor, stop buying them and u both should go to planned parenthood.totally free
in tampa bay they are charging $21 per pack, i dont know if its a national standard rate, you should call your local office and get all the details
Planned parenthood is free. You can donate money to them. They prescribed free medications and Birth control pills. I used to go there for pregnancy test and other problems. they are good people.
