Whats the best medicine to take for period cramps?

Question:
I have been having excrutiating period cramps. The older I get, the worse they get. I cant walk, barely move...just sleep alot. I have taken 1000mg Tylenol and 1000mg of advil...neither completely get rid of them. Anything on the market that works? I am tired of taking baths to sooth the pain! HELP!

Answers:
Hot Ginger Tea.
Add 1/2 Tsp. Powered Ginger to 1 cup
boiling water. Sweeten to taste, Works better than meds.
try midol since its for period cramps. but i also use a heating pad it helps me alot.
Go to the OB/GYN. This is not healthy. Untreated endometriosis can be excruciatingly painful and can cause lots of health problems. Don't continue to suffer like this.
Your Dr can help with this. Sometimes you can take a water pill that helps relieve some of the bloating.
What I used to do was exercise for my back as the muscle in your abdomen is being pulled and causes pain. I also found if I forced myself to get up and walk it really did help. Breathing deep to relax yourself will help too. Good Luck and call your Dr. today.
Chocolate.

Ok. Midol works. So does Alieve. They have heating bads that stick to the inside of your undies (might have to wear granny panties). Those work pretty good too if you are tired of baths. Also, drink TONS of water. I'm not kidding. Hot chocolate is pretty soothing, too.
If you're experiencing cramps that inhibit you from your usual activities, you need to have a chat with your doctor.

Use a heating pad on your abdomen and take Ibuprofen in the meantime.
Midol works! and so does hot water bottles on the cramp and a heating bad also don't take ibuprofen it makes u bleed more even though it does help with cramps.
