If you're an A cup I wouldn't worry about the underwire. If they start to get to about a C cup then you'll need more support. If you get a really good bra with underwire it shouldn't be uncomfortable but every woman is different.
Underwire is alright - maybe go for the non-metal type, at an A cup you probably don't need it but as they grow it may be good to invest into underwire...
No you really dont need a wire but maybe when u are a B or C :)
I hate them, and can't stand them! I really don't think you'll feel comfortable in them either. But you can give it a try.
It is uncomfortable and I say if you don't need it don't wear it. The wire is there to basically hold up your breasts, so unless you're sagging I wouldn't torture myself.

I'd like to meet yer mother. I'd enjoy examining what's going on upstairs with her if she had you wearing a bra @ age 8 with her 38dd breasts. she was probably trying to think. Tell her last I knew, 'a' cup breasts didn't require underwire support.
go ahead and try it. when i first did i thought they were uncomfortable but now i wouldn't buy anything else...
i personally HATE the ones that doesnt have wires. with wires you get a better fit and they makes the most of what you've got. moms usually say that, but they arent uncomfortable at all!! try them!
