Is This Normal for a teen female?
Question:
I'm not sexually active or anything. The itch comes and goes.
It usually occurs when i'm close to starting my period, and when I take a bath. It's really starting to bother me.
Can anyone give me advice?
Answers:
get some antibiotics, amocixillin..but then again that can lead to yeast infections...your hormones and yeast levels are going up and down between your period and stressful times in your life, also when you use alot of body wash/soap (scented, perfumed) it flushes out your normal vaginal metbolism, oh and frequent baths can dry out and multiply bacterias down there if your not cleaning thouroughly or if say, the bathtub is not that clean either...make sure you practice good cleaning habits, alot of baths arent the greatest for us ladies, take more showers...eat plenty of yogurt, use some powders to soothe the itch...sometimes yeast infections are a normal thing for us ladies...not me tho..heh
get itching powder or baby powder
puberty just makes u itchy as hell it happens to guys too
Thrush, probably. You can get antibiotics from your doctor, I'm not sure if you can buy them, and yogurt is supposed to help, too (either eaten, or applied to the area).
its quite normal actually switch soaps or body washes. itz irrating because u prbly had an allergic reaction. if u still have the itching after that. then go see ur doctor
Try keeping down there extra-clean..But dont use harsh soaps!! That could make it itchier than normal.
It should be okay, but if it starts to aggravate you beyond coping, you could see a doctor!
I'm not a girl last time i looked but i do know this because of my girlfriends, different things happen to differeng girls, some r pissed all the time and some r depressed, so its prolly just because of your period
it could be a yeast infection...especially if you take birth control OR if you have been on antibiotics recently. It can also happen if you use scented tampons or colored or scented toilet paper or if you keep a wet bathing suit on too long. Check with your doctor. Your mom can probably help too (even though it is embarassing). Yeast infections just get worse if left untreated. Also, go to the grocery store and buy yogurt that says on the label somewhere that it has live active yogurt cultures. Eat the yogurt...Those cultures help to heal yeast infections. I always eat yogurt when I have to take antibiotics. (the antibiotics can kill the good bacteria down there and cause a yeast infection but the yogurt helps to balance everything out). Yeast infections are normal for women to get.
I just answered this question under "what would you use for a itchy yeast infection?". White vinegar douche. (look it up--I left complete instructions) "Itchy" is a good indicator of a yeast infection, along with a thicker than normal "cottage cheese" type of discharge. If your panties are made of synthetic material, it can encourage yeast infections, that is why most doctors recomend COTTON panties. If you wear synthetic blends--switch up! Yes it is fairly normal, and yes it is DAMN annoying!! (also: Taking a regimine of antibiotics can also 'cause' you to get a vaginal yeast infection)
maybe you are allergic to the soap try some mild soap or baby wash
