Irritation from shaving my bikini line.?

Question:
I hate having to shave my bikini line but sometimes it is the only way if I want to go swimming. The only problem is it really itches for a few days afterwards. I used to use this neutrogena stuff for the bikini area, but I cannot find it anymore. What are some suggestions that I can put on my bikini line that won't cause irritation. And please do not send me to a website, but suggest some items I can buy at my local walmart to put down there. PS I have sensitive and dry skin. Thanks

Answers:
The overbearing suggestion is to use makeup scissors to trim the hair rather than shaving it. This cuts the hairs above the surface of the skin, which prevents the ingrown hairs and bumps caused by shaving.

This seems utterly infeasible to me-- that's a lot of work, and I don't really want to be putting scissors somewhere I don't have the best view of. Instead, I dab a little bit of astringent on the shaved area. I do the same for my armpits. It helps my skin to look smooth and feel less irritated.

NB: Astringent does tend to dry out your skin. You could follow it up with a facial lotion (something light and without oil)
My wife used to have the exact same issue so she started waxing instead. She said after waxing she uses noxema to cool and heal the skin. hope it helps.
use a product called bikini zone
maybe your getting a little bit of razor burn try a better shaving cream or gel.make sure your razor is in good condition, I use witch hazel and I exfoliate with sugar and body wash and mosturize when I'm done. Good luck!
Forget shaving! ICK!!
Go "candle" and "WAX"!! or,
Go "harp" and "PLUCK"!!
