I got the Mirena IUD on Monday 7/23 and couldn't have an orgasm today?

First, good for you for telling off the moron's who don't know or understand birth control.
As for your orgasms, I would have to say it is probably psychological. That is the number 1 reason for not being able to achieve. Relax and don't think about it. Remember to breathe and ensure plenty of oxygen is circulating in your body. Somewhere in the back of your mind you were probably thinking and focusing on the IUD and what could happen once you orgasm, don't think about it it changes nothing.
Good luck :-)
You will get over it your talking yourself into things, every thing will be fine, relax, stop being conscious of it. Have fun
Are you aware that IUDs cause spontaneous abortions?
It could just be your body adjusting to all the new hormones. I wouldn't be concerned with this problem until it persists for a full cycle (roughly a month) or so. The hormones definitely could be messing with your libido and your ability to orgasm, however, so if the problem doesn't resolve itself soon, you may have to look into another form of birth control (which I know is the last thing you want to hear after paying the insertion and exam fees for it).
I am sorry you have experienced some unwanted responses before.
But I suggest the reason you did not orgasm was your preoccupation with a change in your body and it had nothing to do with the IUD.
Just a thought, but a possibility since you seem so focused on it.
i'm sure you can i don't see why not
