well this wasn't mine, but i'll share anyways
in history there was this girl who i'm not really friends with, and she is kind of unhygenic. so she was wearing a pair of really thin sweat pants, with a matching sweater around her waist. she stands up and turns away from where i was sitting, and there was this huge period stain coming through her sweater. everyone i was sitting with noticed it too. we were wondering why she wasnt wearing a pad or anything (the girl must have known she had her period. by our guess she just got it that day, and tried to cover up the stain on her pants by putting her sweater over it). we felt really bad but didnt know whether to tell her or not. in the end one of the girls did, but we were pretty sure that the whole class had seen it.
The first time I started, I stupidly forgot to flush the toilet... and that's how my mom found out I had started my period...
And it just happen to be on thanksgiving she found out so she had to blabber it out to my aunt when we got to her house...
The weird thing is, I never forget to flush
the most embarrasing period moment i ever had was when i was in a crowded shop and i remembered i needed pads so i nudged my mum and gave her the 'i need pads look' . then my brother shouted in front of everyone 'SHE NEEDS PADS!'

So me and family were at the aquarium and i was having really Bad cramps. And i was like to my mom i need to go to the bathroom NOW. And my mom didnt have any quaters that i can use for pads, so she ask my dad and my dad was laughing and saying why does she need money for the bathroom, my mom was like GIVE the girl a quater.lol and my dad did. So me n my friend who i invited came to the bathroom and when we were there i didnt see a pad dispensor, so im like to the janatoir lady, were the pad dispensor? shes like o we dont have on. Im like r u serious?. So i went the bathroom panicking lol. and my friend send toliet paper under, shes likt he lady told me to give to u, and she laughed. I was so embrassed.lmfao
Nothing that really happened to me. My best friend though in 6th grade, got up out of her desk and there was blood all over the seat! I had her sit there until the class room emptied and I cleaned up the chair for her. Gave her my jacket to wrap around her waste, and we went to the bathroom to try and clean her self up. We still had half the day to go :0( I felt so bad for her. I think that's why nothings really happened to me, I've always been really cautious and change my tampon every hour because I'm a heavy bleeder.
Luckily, I had two older sisters so I knew what was happening. On August 16, 1977 (yes, the day Elvis died), I came in from school and noticed my underpants were brown. Well, I knew what it was and did what I was supposed to do, and went to talk to my mom. She had been in my shoes and knew I would have a lot of questions and it pleased her that I was able to be so foward with my questions to her. I have shared with my oldest daughter the same, she was 9 when she started, and my youngest is about to be 11 and it will not be too long before she also needs the attention.
Anyhoo, what embarassed me most was that my grandmother - who had the ears of a elephant (metaphorically)...overheard me talking to my mom and blurted out CONGRATULATIONS! in front of my father and brother...I did NOT want them knowing...next thing I know, my brother was spreading the news in the neighborhood! Of course, on the bus the next morning, you know who was the topic of conversation an nobody had the insight to keep their voice down.I could have worn a paper sack to school and burned it off as red-hot as my face was.
Mom needs to tell siblings it is a private thing and should stay in the home, not told to every tom, dick, and harry.

I was in middle school, and at lunch, one of my friends was wearing a skirt, and i could see a line of blood trickling down her leg, and i'm like, uh hey, your bleeding, and she looks at her legs and just smiles at me. And then she tells me that she doesn't believe in wearing underwear or using any type of tampon or pad while she's on her period.
which i thought was weird..
just had to share. That's the first thing that comes to mind when i think period stories...
here's mine-
i woke up in the middle of the night and had to use the bathroom, so i went in there, used it, and wiped, and i'm like blood! oh boy. I was a little embarrassed to tell my mom, since she was sleeping, but i crept into her room, and i go mom, mom, i started my period, and all i hear from her is a big gasp.
She let me stay home from school, and when my dad came home he bought me a single rose...
that was a little embarrassing, i think my mom had him do it...
