My aquaintance with the thyroidectomy takes synthyoid, Xanex, and Oxycodone.?

Question:
I think this is more of her problem. Why would she need these drugs on top of her synthroid and OsCal?

Answers:
Xanex is for anxiety and oxycodone is an opiate painkiller. Neither would be related to not having a thyroid. They would be prescribed for other conditions.

I suppose if her thyroidectomy was really recent she could have been given oxycodone for post-op pain. Percocet is oxycodone and is commonly prescribed after surgery. It's also possible that she was diagnosed with anxiety and given xanex before they realized it was due to a thyroid problem: hyperthyroidism causes racing heart and other anxiety symptoms. Or it might be completely unrelated.
maybe your friend get's over anxious and has some acute pain .
Oxycodone is for pain and Xanax is for anxiety. Her medical problems are between her and her doctor. Unless she's snorting these drugs or seriously abusing them otherwise, leave her be.
Peeking in the medicine cabinet? You'll find all that and more in mine!
