Does the nuvaring cause anyone else to have break through bleeding?
Question:
Answers:
That is definately a side effect of the NuvaRing, which is one of the more common forms of birth control given to women who have recently had a baby...
Remember, the NuvaRing is nothing more than a hormone-filled vaginal insert- it stays in the vaginal canal to give you slow, steady doses of the same hormones used in birth control pills and shots to prevent pregnancy. These hormones, especially if this is the first time you've used the ring, and even more so since you just had a baby, tend to upset the general "flow" (no pun intended here...) of your body, and it often takes some time to get it regulated. Relax. It's just doing it's job.
And congrats on the baby! :)
