periods are the lining of the uterus. if you were pregnent then the egg would catch, be fertalized, and a baby would grow, using the lining. when the egg isnt fertalized, its released so that new lining can form.

i don't know but trust me if you don't have your period you really miss him, i have almost 18 months without my period and it sucks i had a 9 moth old baby and since she was born i haven had my period and i want him back

Every month our body gets ready to ahve ababy. If the fetus isnt fertilized then it and all the other stuff gets washed out with a period. So every month if the fetus isnt fertilized its flushed out with blood. thtas why if you get pregnant u stop getting periods.
