Question:
I have an appt. with Georgia Health for birth control. However I know that the services are based off of your income. I do not have an income because I stay at home with my daughter. Has anyone else been in this situation? If so, what was your fee? Or do you know what the fee will be in general?
Answers:
It shouldn't be anything, but if you are married you have to report your husband's income. Here in OK they have a health program for all women so that if you are middle class or above you pay 10% of the bill if you can afford to do so. They mail it to you after services are provided, and you are not penalized for not paying, but they ask that you pay if you can afford to. If you are under middle class income it is 100% free. But it's not like they do a background check or anything, you just volunteer your income info.
