When is a woman most fertile?

Question:
Is it right before her period? See, I've been on birth control for the past few years and have just now getting off them. I think I'm about to start my period, but I'm not for sure (use to I knew, but on birth control I never had to read the "signs" so I've forgotten how). I'm ovulating MAJORLY, and I'm thinking that I use to do that right before my period.thanks!

Answers:
women is most fertile in middle of her cycle flowless days...when u feel slight lower abdominal pain/irritable/vaginal fluid alters somewhat to more fluidy...about 14 days in(*counted from 1st day of period )28 day cycle

theres 14 days from ovulation to next period but we cant say from end of period when will it occur.

sperms live for 2 days inside womb and ovum will live for 3 days so 5 days around middle of period a women is most fertile

so we can safely have sex in days before and immediatly after periods .not very reliable still its a practice by orthodox religious persons ...as a birth control measure
How do you know you're "ovulating MAJORLY"?

Ovulation generally occurs about 14 days after your period begins, or 14 days before your next period starts, assuming your cycle is a perfect 28 days. It is not right before your period.
