She is five days late but she has been on birth control for months. Is that normal?

Question:

Answers:
nope she's pregnant.not really but it IS a possibility, you hear of people all the time who get pregnant on birth control so it's wise to take a test for confirmation either way. If it's negative I would see the GYN and maybe have the birth control switched in case the one you are using now is being less effective than you would like for it to be
Congratulations to the New DADDY...!
What do you mean inconclusive? If there was a faint line then she may have missed a pill and could be pregnant. Did she forget? Maybe she did...Scary.
birth control pills are not 100%
It's not necessarily normal, but my girlfriend's periods are pretty irregular, so it could just be a fluctuation in her cycle. My friend had a girl call him and say "OH MY GOSH! I'M FOUR DAYS LATE! I'M PREGNANT!" and he almost lost it. Of course, she ended up having her period the next day or later on that night or something. So... I'd wait a couple more days before determining whether she's pregnant or not and I think it takes a few days before a pregnancy test will show a positive return. As has been suggested before, you should go see a doctor if you're unsure after a few more days still.
Has she been taking it correctly all this time? If not, she very well could be pregnant. Since the test was inconclusive, I'd take another one.

However, if she has been taking the pills correctly and consistently, sometimes a period will be missed. (ONE, not many.) Or...she could still be pregnant. Nothing is 100%. Take another test!
