Can my doctor still perform a physical examination if I have my period? or would I have to re-schedule...?

Question:

Answers:
They can do everything but a pap test. You will have to reschedule for that part.
I'm assuming you are referring to an ob/gyn exam. They will do it if you are at the end of your period but if your flow is still heavy you will have to reschedule.
I assume you mean the pap? It can be done if you're on the last day and the flow is really light. Otherwise you'd need to reschedule.
yes he/she should be able to !
Yes, if its not pertaining to your private area
i would call them and ask.if i was u i would reschedule though.
I had same prob
my dr said no prob they just do things a bit different
(she must know since she is very smart)
There are many aspects to a physical exam like blood pressure, pulse, reflexes, eye and ear exam, blood and urine tests so yes, you can still do all of the other parts of the exam that are not affected by your menstrual cycle.
if ur talkin bout a gyno than i dont think she can u should re schedule. but just a plain old doc, yeah, im sure he can. hope this helped.
I would wait until after the period. Sometimes there could be complications during that time, it is really uncomfortable.
A regular doctor can. A gyno will not. If you are seeing the gynocologist and have your period on your appointment date, call and reschedule. He will not see you if you are bleeding, especially heavily.
