Menstral cycle is very late...and always irregular...why?
Question:
Answers:
Polycystic ovarian syndrome is one of a few causes for irregular menstrual periods. Women with PCOS tend to be overweight, have a history of diabetes or have a strong family history of diabetes. They may have other symptoms pointing to PCOS such as facial hair, or a darkened area under the armpits or back of neck. PCOS can easily be detected with a simple blood test and can be treated with oral contraceptives. Most importantly, women with PCOS are at a big risk for developing diabetes which can be prevented or at least controlled if diagnosed early enough.
Other irregular cycles can be seen in very young women who have only been menstruating for a few years, or older women getting close to menopause. The only way to truly diagnose an irregular menstrual cycle is to see a health care provider.

My best advice is for you to contact your doctor! He or she may have medication that will help you with your problem.

I agree with the other answers to this question you might have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome... you need to go to your doctor and be diagnosed if this is the case and put on meds... it will help...
First of all, good for you being a virgin! I don't know how old you are, but stay a virgin as long as you can. It is best.
Second, I always have been irregular. I am very thin, and in college, I worked out a ton, ate low fat and had very little body fat. I stopped having a period for about four months. My periods now range (after having 2 children, i'm 33 years old) from 32 to 48 days. I had no idea when I was ovulating when I was trying to get pregnant because of my irregular periods.
I am always amazed by the girls that have their periods exactly 28 days apart. Don't sweat it. You're probably fine. But if you have that gut feeling that it might be something more serious, go to a gynecologist. Better to be safe than sorry!
Good luck.
how old are you? some young women take longer for their cycles to even out & become regular when they first start. There are a wide range of things that can cause sterility from toxin exposure to birth defect. There is an even wider range of things that can cause a missed period or irregular cycle. Stress, being extremely over weight or extremely underweight or other health problems (even ones that seem unrelated to your reproductive cycle). You can tell your Dr that you are a virgin, but don't be offended if he wants you to take a pregnancy test anyway. a lot of people are not as honest as they should be with their drs.
When I was a young girl I use to only get one period every three months. Eventually my mother took me to the doctor's and they did a blood test on me and it turned out that I was very anaemic. So much so that I had to quit the job that I was working at, stay home and just rest, and take my medication that was prescribed for me for three - six months. Maybe it wouldn't hurt for you to ask your doctor to check your blood out for anaemia.
I was diagnosed with PCOS too, and irregular periods are one of the signs. You might want to go to the doctor and have them check you out. Also, even if you only have one or 2 symptoms of it, it could still very likely be PCOS. They can put you on medication to help regulate your periods, and help with other symptoms of PCOS that you may be suffering from. If you're nervous about doctors (which I am), you dont need to worry. When my doctor asked if I wanted her to test me for PCOS (because she was suspicous that I had it) I asked her how they test, because Im not comfortable getting naked infront of anyone, including doctors. She told me that all they did was draw blood. So I let her and sure enough, she was right. Good luck and dont worry if you do have it. life is still livable and people diagnosed with PCOS were still very able to have children (even though one of the symptoms is that you cant have kids)
