Question:
i have heard that turkey contains a chemical that helps to make a person tired.what other things are there to help?
Answers:
Your best bet is to go see your doc and get something to use until things settle down some. My health care provider wrote me a script for meds that helped a lot and I didn't need to use them even a week and I was feeling much more relaxed aka calm and sleeping.
Turkey (and dairy products, etc.) contains the amino acid tryptophan, which can be converted into serotonin, the calming brain chemical. You can buy tryptophan or 5HTP the precursor to serotonin in capsules.
I will eat either some dairy product.. cheese is good or, pasta product.. bread also seems to help b'cause they are simple carbs and tend to make you relaxed..tired pretty quickly.
My mom is going through menopause she usually gets away from things that bother her such as me her only daughter.
You may want to look at Black Cohosh, Blue Cohosh, and evening primrose. Peppermint, spearmint, camomille teas and Constant Comment, just be cause I like it. These are the things to be found in the first aid kit of a menopausal woman.
Hay how,s it going, I have been using a combination of ( green tea & camimile tea" I noticed a big change in alot of areas, Usually people notice a change around the end of the 2nd week just a few glasses a day works wonders:
