Question:
If i start taking it now before my period will it stop my next one from coming until i go on the break from the pill (28 days later) or will it still come when it is naturally meant to be??

Hey there...
I've been on the pill for a long time. You have two options for most birth control options: you can either take it on the first day of your period, or the first Sunday after it starts (so you don't have to start a new pack in the middle of a week). Don't start taking it though before you get your period, especially if you've never taken them before.
A lot of things can cause your period to be late. If there is any chance you could be pregnant, go get a pregnancy test first. Otherwise, stress is a probable reason; I know because I once didn't have my period for almost four months I was so stressed out! There are other reasons, including medical conditions, or not having enough fat on your body. So if you take a pregnancy test and it comes back positive, or it comes back negative and you still don't get your period in a few weeks, I would make an appt w your doctor.
Hope this helps!
Even if you're late, you need to wait until you start your period to start taking your pills. If you don't want and start taking them now, it won't hurt you, but you won't be protected fully until you have been taking them for an entire cycle, and it will be much more difficult for your period to catch up to your pill cycle, and you'll be more likely to experience breakthrough bleeding more often.
If the first day of your period was what was recommended to you, just wait to start your period.
You take the pill as soon as your period ends, not before. That allows you to get on a strict 28 day cycle. If you are late and take it now, you might not get your period this month and could cause spotting next month when you're not supposed to get your period
go to the phamacist buy a packet. u will find the instructions on it. i think it is first day mensuration starts. but i am not sure. so buy one & check
I would either wait for your period or talk to the doctor about your period being late.
