Is spot on skin toward bottom of labia normal?
Question:
Answers:
It could be just a birthmark or discoloration of the skin you haven't noticed before.
If you're certain that it has just appeared, you might want to get to either a gynecologist or a dermatologist to have it checked out.
Are you sexually active? The 'spot' may be darkened skin due to 'friction' ... sort of like a 'burn' but not nearly as bad. It could also be an 'age spot' ... but that should happen only if you 'tan' your pubis ...
Keep an 'eye' on it ... do that 'visual self exam' every two weeks to see if the spot 'fades' or 'stays the same' or 'spreads.' If it 'spreads' or changes in any way, make an appointment to see your doctor and have the doctor 'take a look' to see if it's not something 'bad.' It's probably 'normal' but assuming you do 'self exams' regularly, and you haven't seen it in earlier exams, you should at least 'take notice' and then talk to your doctor if it 'grows or changes' ...
I have a similar spot, but it is outside of the opening. My doctor noticed it a few years ago during an exam and she just said to keep an eye on it.
I would bring it up at your next exam and see what your doctor says. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.
