Bump in vagina?
Question:
http://womenshealth.about.com/cs/dermato...
Also, I shave regularly...could it be cause by infected/ingrown hair follicles?
Answers:
I have had these before and they usually go away on their own. However, if it starts to give you lots of pain or looks infected, I would get to the doctor right away.
Yes, I do think shaving is what causes these most of the time. Not always, though.
go see your gynecologist anyway, just to be sure.
you really should get that looked at. it could be anything.
Vict0ria, pity you are worrying about stuff that will go away. You should just let the bump be and it will vanish before you even realise it. Too much touching of such bumps tends to encourage them to stay and foster.
If you do not shave regularly, and now do so, it does cause such bumps to appear. But with time, as you maintain the regularity, that should not be the problem anymore.
my sister had a cyst too but her's wasn't painful
but we went to a clinic and they prescribed her with pills
This is definitely a possibility- it is most likely a cyst, pimple or infected hair follicle. You can try warm soaks to the area that may bring it to a head. If it continues to swell, or becomes very painful, you need to see your gyn-
Might be that you have a ingrown hair near your vagina. If this does not go away in a week or so then go see someone to look at it.
