If Norethisterone is not taken until the period arrives, can it still work to stop it?


Question:
My daughter is on holiday and her period came early, before she had time to start Norethisterone. Will it still work if started immediately? (the period has only just arrived).

Answers:
it has to be taken at least 3 days before her peiod it will delay it but it wont stop it once its arrived!
i don't think it will. once the blood is in her womb it needs to come out .....best asking a doctor for advice really
im on northisterone if she starts now in a day or so her period should stop
