Get a slim or regular tampon and practice a couple of times before you go to the beach (assuming you're on your period.) Once you get the hang of it, you'll love them.
dont go to the beach
.dont wear one....?
wear a pad. dont go in the water, and wear shorts over your bathing suit bottoms or underwear. and no one will see. i did it before.
Go with the tampon. Purchase a small box of the plastic scented applicators. Use more than 1 or 2 times. You will love the freedom tampons give you. Give it a chance.
I would try a slim tampon made for young girls. the plastic applicator or so much easier to get in.
If you get in water with a pad on it is going to get soaked and not hold blood anyway.
dont go in the water
use a pad go tothe beach && dont get in the water
or you can try a different brand of tampon
or you could wait till your period is off && then go to the beach
You should try the smaller version of the tampax pearl's so that it feels more comfortable. You won't bleed to much while in the water but you shoud switch the smaller tampon frequently to prevent leaks. God Bless
use the lightest one you can find..extra light or regular..for the smallest actual size..I would just try it some more, it will become more natural and not painful.. You will probably want to get used to using tampons anyways, b/c there are going to be other situations like this ahead. just relax
Try the 'ultra thin' pads that have heavy protection. I know Always has them..at least that way you'll still be covered and you won't look all clumpy - hope that helps! Have fun!
I was the same way and I just used a pad when I went to the beach. I brought several of them, so that I could change frequently and I was fine.
get the lite tampons and when you insert one in you'll never feel it. i like the tampax pearl ultra lites
You need to get the right size for you. Since you haven't had your period all that long, you're probably not that old. So try using the JR or the Lite ones, as they're slim. Also use a plastic applicator, or get the O.B. ones [they don't have an applicator at all], I found the plastic to be more comfy than the cardboard.
Just relax and read the directions on the back of the box to make sure you're inserting it correctly. If you don't put it in right, it will bother you. If you've already started your period, try wearing one for a few hours and see if you are still uncomfortable. If you are and decide you can't wear a tampon, you'll either have to not go to the beach or just not go swimming. Sorry hun.
Well if your sister has been getting it longer than you, her tampons are bigger. I would recomend that you buy the tampax Lites, theyre smaller and more comfortable for the beginers who are just starting to use tampons
they shouldn't be uncomfortable at all, so maybe you aren't inserting them far enough. some girls have a hard time inserting tampons and have to get some lubrication, like ky jelly. i know htat sounds weird, but it will help it go in easier so that it can get in the right place. if you use one, go for the tampax pearl. they are a lot easier to insert cause they slide in better. a way to cut down on the largeness of them is to by ones for a lighter flow. you'll probably have to change it more often, but it will be smaller then. otherwise, you're kinda screwed and you probably shouldn't go swimming. you could sit on the beach and just hang out, but no water for you!
dont go to the beach
or wear a tampon
