12 day long period.?

Question:

I had a c-section back in may, and just started loestrin 24 fe, I've had my period now for 12 days, its really heavy, ive already went through a box of 36 super plus tampons bought last saturday. Im clotting also, i talked to my mother and and she said its normal... but is it?? Im kinda worried...

Never mind what you mom says call your doc and ask to speak to his nurse and tell her what is going on. She will talk to your doctor and get back to you.

I am not familiar with that particular pill, but it sounds like it is not strong enough. That is what happened to me with a "mini pill." Call your doctor.

I had the same thing happen last month and I was on birthcontrol and everything. IT lasted 20 days and i went to the DR and found out I was having a misscarriage. IT might not be what you have but thats what i had. I was bleeding really Heavy with Clots and it wasnt Normal. I would suggest taking a pregnanncy test or going to the DR.
