Reguarding TSS!?
Question:
Answers:
No you are putting a fresh one in so that eliminates the bacteria.
It would count as 4-5 hours they are saying not to leave the same tampon in for 8-10 hours. But if you are having symptoms of TSS you should call your doctor immediately. And if you use a higher absorbency tampon the risk for TSS goes up. Call your doctor if any of the symptoms occur.
no your fine.. but you could have a reaction to your tampon. if you have any problems down there i would see a doc or go back to pads for the rest of your period... but i go up to 8 hours with one tampon in... and iv'e never had TSS... symptoms of TSS include sudden fever, vomiting, diarrhea, rash that looks like a sun burn, rapid heartbeat, confusion, or dizzyness... if you have any or all of these you need to see your doc asap... if not your fine... just don't forget you have a tampon in..
I'm fairly certain that any tampon use whatsoever brings with it the risk of TSS - even if you followed the package directions as far as time limits. You are at a much smaller risk from keeping it 4-5 hours than over 8, but a risk still exists.
