Is there such a thing as ovulation pain.?

Question:
I'm having pain in my lower right side more towards the front of my stomach. Just wondering if this could be ovulation pain if there is such a thing and I'm also having mild leg cramps?

Answers:
Absolutely you can have pain with ovulation. However if the pain is great you might want to have it checked out. I had a friend who had this problem and found out she had cysts on her ovaries that would react during ovulation. Frequent urination could also be a sign of a UTI which can be treated with antibiotics.
Yes, there is such a thing. It's called "mittelschmertz" (sp?) That's about where I usually feel it, although I don't always feel it, just occasionally, and it usually hurts really bad but lasts for a very short time (maybe 15 minutes?) and then everything is fine.
