Whats involved in having laparoscopy done?

Question:
anyone ever have this done? I am having it done and very scared about it.

Answers:
a laparoscopy is when the surgeon makes 3-5 small incisions and inserts some small tubes called trocars. These allow the surgeon to blow up you belly with gas called insulfalation. This gives them the room to move the instruments around and see whats going on. the reason there is 3-5 incisions it that one is for the Camera to see and the others are for instruments so they can do the surgery that you need. For a few days after it can be painful, alot of this is caused by the gas that was blown in to your belly. It is hard to get it all out at the end of surgery, It does not cause harm it is just uncomfortable.
They make a tiny tiny slit where ever they are going to check out and then they insert a thin tube with a camera attached so the can see what they need to see. If they are going to do any actual surgery they will do the surgery then too,

I had it done several years ago because I had a tubal pregnancy and they were looking to see where it was exactly. They put me out so I have no recollection of it. The only thing I have is a very small scar in my belly button. Try to relax. I kept telling myself that they do these things all the time and you just have to put your trust in the surgeons which is not easy. I was 18 when I had mine and I was scared to a certain extent. Mostly because of anaesthesia because I'd never had any until then. It all worked out and I'm sure yours will too.
depending on which lap procedure youre having done, go here to read about it: http://www.laparoscopy.com/www/contents0...
also its much better to have a lap done because: less scarring (about 4 small incisions) and less postoperative pain. you may feel pressure in your chest when the surgery is done because the CO2 (they fill your belly with it to keep it expanded so they can see inside better) is trying escaping but otherwise it's better than an open surgery where they cut you down the middle. if you have a gallbladder removed, they usually let you go home the same day. its amazing.
I had to have a biopsy on my cervix and almost had to get that done myself I looked this up for you .

My net appointment if the cells come back abnormal again I have to have them cauterized ehk.

www.ivf.com/laprscpy gives you the basics my moms a nurse and she explained it but heres a full on definition of what they do.
I had it done last year and it's somewhat painful. I'm not sure why you are getting one, but I had a miscarriage and my doctor said I needed one. They do it through your bellybutton with only 2 to 3 stitches. I had alot of scare tissue so they couldn't take care of all of it that time, but need to take care of it as soon as I get a chance. It'll be an outpatient procedure and is done very quickly. You'll feel pretty bad for a few days, so don't think that you can go back to life as normal immediately because its not true. Your abdomen will be a little swollen, and slight heat makes it feel better. You can contact me if you like. I wish you luck and hope you feel better with your procedure.
