Would HRT redistribute my body fat?

Question:
I had to have a complete hysterectomy about five years ago and my figure has been getting more and more manly ever since. It seems that all the fat that used to be on my hips and thighs has traveled upwards. My waist is gone. My midriff keeps getting thicker. My back and shoulders are now broad and fat, while my hips and legs get thinner. Would taking hormones reverse this? I want my feminine shape back.

Answers:
You description is very odd to say the least. I never heard of women losing their feminine shape after hysterectomy, never. Something else must be wrong with your hormonal balance and you might want to consult an endocrinologist about it. HRT won't make you more feminine or change your shape, but women tend to get fatter after menopause whether its natural or by surgery and diet is advised + exercising.
