When you're 17 yrs old and still do not have menstruation...what can that imply?
Question:
Answers:
it doesn't mean anything but if you are that concerned and want to have you period go to the doctor and they'll put you on birth control so you can have your period
I know a few people who are my age (18) and still haven't got their period. Some people just take longer to bloom than others. If you're really worried, you should go see a doctor right away because you could have something wrong with your womanly organs.
It is very rare and you should see a GYN.
If you haven't gotten your period by seventeen, yes, it can mean something is wrong. There's a chance that you're just a late bloomer, but it could also point to a hormonal imbalance, or you could have something else going on, such as being too skinny (If your BMI drops below a certain point, you won't menstruate. You should talk to your doctor to find out what's going on.
not a big deal some people just get it later than others
Alot of things can cause you not to menstruate. one possibility is that you are too skinny, another is stress (when I was in boot camp and really stressed I didn't even thought I was very regular other times.), or, that you are just a late bloomer. The best way to tell what is going on with you is to go to your GYN and be open with them.
You need not. Puberty may occur two or three years before the recognized average or delayed perhaps five years after. If you are anatomically and clinically normal you may menstruate spontaneously by the age of eighteen or nineteen and these are normal and need cause no anxiety nor indicate any treatment. Any how consult the Gynecologist.
that you're lucky lol
you don't have to deal with all that lol
But...I think girls are supposed to go to the doctor if menstruation doesn't occur by age 16.
in most cases it's just you are a late bloomer, If you are developing other ways e.g breasts and pubic hair chances are you period will come soon...A doc can check your hormone levels and also blood test to see if there is a problem or condition you don't know about. If you are underweight that can also delay your period...
You can sort of go on how old your mother got her period but that did not work for me i was 15 my mother 12 and her mother was 21 and married before she got hers
obviously go see your Dr..
I would see a doctor if I were you. It's possible that you're just late in developing, but I would get checked out to be safe. Especially nowadays, girls seem to be hitting puberty earlier and earlier.
