Girls only please! Need help with tampons!?
Question:
Thank you

Go to this website. It will help you out. It's a guide to using your first tampon.
http://www.youngwomenshealth.org/tampon.
Buy the kind with the plastic applicator (not the cardboard) because it makes the job go more smoothly. Replace then every 4 hours (so keep a few in your purse).
Read the box...Breathe...Relax...
just insert them and then push. its very simple and convient!
They come with directions that are easy to follow. It will take you a little while to get used to one.
Since no one probably wants to type how to use tampons, you could ask an older woman or friend who has used them.
There are instruction pamphlets inside each box. I would suggest starting with a slim fit tampon. There isn't really much to it. Once you get it right once, you will be a pro after that.
Just relax and and follow the directions on the box. I use Tampax Pearl and love them!

if you are new to this i suggest that you use "tampax slim fit "
very small and dont hurt at all..
just relax when you do it i know it can be very scary but its very natural for a woman..
make sure you read the instructions that come inside the box.
Look at the diagram in the box or a female anatomy diagram on the web. Notice the vagina is slanted towards the small of your back. This is how you insert a tampon. If you use regular absorbency pads this would be the absorbency tampons you need. If you need super then pick those up. Relax when you insert it and angle it towards the small of your back. Your hymen has a hole in it that allows menstrual blood to pass through and tampons to pass through so that is not an issue in case that thought has crossed you mind. You change them every 4 hours at least just like a pad. At night you can put a fresh one in just before you go to bed and remove it first thing in the morning. If your period varies from heavy to regular to light etc then consider getting a box with various sizes in it. Brand is a matter of personal choice. When I used them I liked Kotex but my daughter prefers tampax pearls.
Hey kiddo! Do you see that white strip above your head right after it says "Search for questions?" Type in there: " How do you use a tampon?" Then "Enter." You will get LITERALLY HUNDREDS of answers. May I add, buy the plastic rounded kind. Good luck!! :)
hey
first see what your period flow is.is it light,regular,heavy?etc...u need to know this before u buy tampons...
as its your first time, get the tampons with the plastic applicator as this is alot easier to insert..
when u get them, pull the other end out and insert the tampon,if u still cant get it in,maybe its because you are a lil nervouse and tensed up so relax and then try again....
if u still find it a bit hard, when u have the tampon push the tampon slightly to the side and try push it in again....
there will be a information leaflet when you buy a box of tampons so u can get information on how to insert a tampon on the leaflet....
change tampon every 4-8 hours..dont leave it in longer than 8 hrs as u can not only get uncomfortable but u can develop tss(toxic shock syndrome)....
good luck x
1. It's not that personal, guys can answer it too (although it would be gross if they knew how to do it LOL)
2. Since I've had my period only twice before, and I use those white, absorbant boats known as 'pads', I don't know, but there should be directions on the box or on a paper inside the box.
Hope this helps!
