If you're going to be swimming and you have your period, you're going to need to use a tampon.
its my third time too well anyways wear a tampon if a tampon cant fit sorry sweetie you cant go swimming!

well in a lake itll hardly matter, but you should probably wear a tampon. ask your mom to help you out.
Try out tampons if you haven't already. Playtex SlimFits is a tampon that is slender and smaller than normal ones for young teens and first time tampon users.
While you're in the lake, the water does tend to get absorbed and fill up the tampon, so after you're finished swimming put in a new one to stay clean.

wearing a tampon is your best solution. If you are afraid of leaking where some dark colored shorts over your swim suit, that way if you do leak, it won't be seen on your dark colored shorts
Wear a tampon! If you haven't used one, then practice! If you're in the water, your period will just kinda "slow down" when you're submerged or just be like a regular period. When you get out it will probably "gush" so yeah, wear a tampon.
Find something else to do besides swimming while you're at the lake. Try to still have fun. i know it's a bummer when you look forward to going swimming somewhere and you're on your period.
def. wear a tampon. unless you're going to be at the lake for like four or more hours it shouldn't leak. if you plan on being there all day just change it out every couple of hours and you'll have no problem at all. there are tons of different size tampons so i'm sure there will be one that fits you. in a nutshell... just wear a tampon and you'll be perfectly fine.
ya last week i had to go to a water park and it was my third period too i brought tampons even though i had never used them but i ended up starting the day after i really hope u have no problems just bring them just in case i really hope it works out have a great time at the lake
wear a tampon, yes your flow may stop in water if it is light, if not it might decrease, but wear a tampon and feel secure no mistake.

My best recommendation- wear a tampon, and wear a dark colored bottom! If you need to, wear some jean shorts or something.
Swimming with your period in fresh water should be no problem.
