what are the signs of a first period coming im 13 havent started but think i may be going to start soon i have the following symtoms
headache
mood swings
mild cramping
and sore breast
are these signs i will start soon

Answers:
Yeah...sounds like your period Hun. What you can do is prepare yourself by carrying around some pads in your purse just in-case...if your feeling extra crampy when you go out just wear one it won't hurt to do, that way you wont have a embarrassing moment if your out in public some where. And don't worry this is all normal. Don't feel scared or embarrassed every girl gets this. These are just the signs of becoming a young lady. You might also want to get some Midol to put in your purse it will help with the symptoms of your period. Also sore breasts is a sign you will start to grow in that area, which is also a good thing to prepare for also with training bras or sports bras for gym class. Talk to your mom about it so she can take you to get these things. Congratulations your on your way to becoming a woman!
yes those are indeed signs.. but when i first got mine, there were no signs... it just happened...
yep
yehh probably!
well if u got a discharge from ur vagina- it should be a clear or white substance that MIGHT smell a little or has no smell at all that means that your period can come anywear from 6 to 18 months and usually 2 yrs after ur breasts start developing is when u get it im almost 13 and i didnt get it either
yep yep. you will start soon..
typically yes - should start within 2 weeks or so.

However, these are also signs of just general hormone fluctuations... so it could also just be normal puberty stuff.
yes they are u will probaly want to go get midol and ask your mom for pads or take hers if u are 2 shy to ask her
yeah but i never had the sore breast
those are usually signs for any period no matter how many u have had. keep watching and when u see something try wearing a panty liner or ask your mom for help. if this helps u any i got my first one the summer before 6th grade. i don't remember how old i was and the only thing i remember happening was crying a lot. and i got up the next morning and there it was. wasn't sure what happened so i just changed and then found it again so i asked my mom. she helped me put a pad on. after a few times of her putting the pads on my panties for me. i put them on myself. good luck and welcome to being a woman.
It's a good possibility. I would carry some emergency supplies with you, just in case. A couple of Pads and a clean pair of underwear in a small zip lock bag. If you use the Ultra Thin pads, It will all fit neatly in the bottom of a bag. Also, talk to your mom, if possible, and ask her advise. This is a big milestone in a young girls life.
if u have vaginal discharge u'll start in a few months
yeah you are ganna get it soon look for red or brown spots on Ur underwear when you go to the bathroom or just buy pantyliner and wear them they will keep you save from any unexpected visitors oh and when you start tell your mother or if you are at a friends house tell ur girlfriends that might have already started and ask if they have a tampon or pad and always have pantyliners with you every month when you think you are ganna start
