no problems you are not unprotected just because you are on your period when you are taking birth control. most guys dont like to have sex at that time of the month so he may want to wear a condom just because he dosent want it on him. I always say every solider has to march through a little blood. It will wash off . But pregnancy wise your birthcontrol is protecting you at all stages of menstration.

Well no sex is ever SAFE! I know somebody that did get pregnant on her period. But if you are on birth controll and you use a condom, you have a very small chance of getting pregnant.
youre safe from getting pregnant, but i believe chance of catching UTI's is more possible at your time of the month.
