When will the spotting end? When I can be pregnant?

Question:
I took the depo shot back in April but chose not to take another shot. It was my only time I took the shot. Before that I was on and off birth control for a couple of years. Since that time I've been experiencing spotting that lasts for 3 weeks. It's not even a red color, it looks dark brown. Anyway, I have no intention on going back on birth control. My boyfriend and I are now ready to try for a baby. How long will I go back to normal and conceive a baby? When will the spotting end?

Answers:
On average, it takes 10 months after the last shot to get pregnant.
