Dont think I'm stupid but...?

Question:
im confused. some people say you lose your virginity using tampons because you break this hy-something, but i didnt think so. is the only way to lose your virginity through sexual penetration?

Answers:
it's called they hymen. many say that you lose your virginity once the hymen has been broken (which a tampon does do). But really it is up to you and what you think losing your virginity is. there is not a definition that everyone can agree on. it's one of those questions that may never have an answer. websters dictionary defines virgin/virginity as follows:
"a young woman who has never had sexual intercourse; chaste modest; untouched, unused, pure, etc"
hope that helps
Tampons can break the hymen but no you definitely don't lose your virginity from them - not until penetration sexually!
You can break your hymen, but you only lose your virginity when you have sex. There are all kinds of ways you can break your hymen, including vigorous activities (like sports) and falling. You are right.
ya but you can brake the hymen which is a thin piece of skin by excersising or using tampons.virginity is completely based on sex
You are right.
Using a Tampon does not cause you to lose your virginity, only sex can do that.
You can break your Hymen by horse riding or riding a bike.
You lose your virginity by having an sexual intercourse..not by using a tampon..but a tampon might break the hyme but your still have your virginity.
Yes, thats correct.
no you do not loose your virginity by tampons. Sex with a guys is how u loose it.
The only way to lose your virginity is to have penetrative sex
The only way to lose your virginity is to have sex. It's true that using tampons will likely break or at least stretch your hymen, but that can also happen from horseback riding, dancing, riding a bike, or countless other non-sexual activities. Unless you've had sex, you're a virgin.
You lose your virginity through sexual intercourse, not by using a tampon.
You can only lose your virginity by having sex. If your hymen is broken is doesn't always mean that you have has sex beacuse you can break that by horse riding or like you said with tampons.
Breaking your hymen is not per se loosing your virginity, which requires sexual penetration.
you are still a virgin if you use tampons . you can break you're hymn playing soccer and some women are born with it broken or never had one if you haven't had sex you are still a virgin
You are correct. You ONLY lose your viginity when you have sex. You might break your hymen, but it doesn't matter. If you have not had sex, then you are a virgin.
sex is the only way you loose your virginity
you can break your hyman in a number of ways. for example in active sports like horse riding. normally, when you use a tampon, it passes through a gap in the hymen. and yes, you only lose your virginity through penetration.
whoever told u that u lose ur virginity by using a tampon is an idiot. the only way is by having sex...and u break the hymen. when u put a tampon in it doesnt go far enough to break it.
You cna break your hyman doing physical exercise let alone insert a tampon so sexual penetration is not the only way
i got told in an R.E lesson that you can break your hymen (or whatever it is) by even horse riding!! now, i dunno about you but i wouldnt wana lolse my virginity to a horse!! hehe
a tampon may break the skin membrane up there but you can only lose your virginity through penetrative sex
