If you've been on the contraception pill for more than 10 years, can the pill ever stop working?

Question:

Answers:
if you take it faithfully, and don't miss any, no, it shouldn't stop working, but you may become infirtile (depending on the type of pill). It can stop your cycles all together, and basically push you into menopause. Contact your ob-gyn or md and see if they have any ideas, especially if you think it may have stopped working for some reason.

If you think you may be pregnant, it could be possible. remember, even birth control isn't 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. Maybe your body has figured out a way to overcome the 'foriegn substance' (meaning the birth control) and fight for what it would naturally do. 10 years is a long time. ;)

Good luck!!
