Has anyones periods changed after getting tubes tied?

Question:

i now have my normal cycle then about a week of brown stuff for a week.is that normal? its like i dont have to wear a tampon or anything.i only see it when i wipe..can anyone help?

My friend has her tubes tied and says her period has gotten much heavier. Her Dr says it isn't from the tubal. So your guess is as good as mine.

** Note to little syco...tubal prevents the egg and sperm from meeting..the lining still builds up in the uterus and sheds every month!

I think that after you get your tubes tied, don't they prevent the egg from entering the uterus? And that would kind of get rid of the whole period problem, right? So I would say talk to your doctor. It's most likely just some after-surgery thing, but still get it checked out.
