I need to get a sports physical?

Question:
what do they do? i mean, i know eyesight height weight and stuff.
once i had to take off my shirt to check for scoliosis...but do they actually look at stuff beyond that? as in the more personal areas of your body?
i think this physical is given by the school doctor. does this mean that theyll skip some stuff to save you embarrassment? i cant pee in a cup coz im having my period. im really not sure about this.
any sensible answers are appreciated.

Answers:
The doctor will ask you questions about your medical history, asthma, allergies, etc. And it will include a physical exam:
Measure your height
Check your weight
Take your blood pressure
Listen to your heart and lungs
Feel your abdomen
Look in your ears, nose, and throat
Check your eyesight
Test how strong and flexible you are
No, they won't do any embarrassing things like that for a sports physical (expect the scoliosis check again, though). It's ok that you can't pee in a cup; I actually can't do that (paruresis, can't pee around others or under pressure), and I've never gotten in trouble for it or anything. Honestly, I'm surprised you had to take off your shirt for the scoliosis check; I have scoliosis and even had to go braless for an X-ray of it, but you should be allowed to keep your shirt on just for the check if you don't actually have it.
