Having an novasure or any other type of endometrial ablation generallly stops or greatly decreases menstrual flow, this is caused by the destruction of the lining of the uterus.
it does not affect fertility, though the possibility of an egg implanting is greatly decreased to to uterine damage.
But pregnancy happens, albeit rarely, and the results are almost always heartbreaking as the uterus can no longer support a growing fetus, pregnancy that are not aborted almost always are miscarried or dangerously premature, research found only 2 cases of infants surviving.
Sterilization or effective birth control is mandatory.
BTW for anyone considering this procedure, I no longer have heavy painful out of control periods,this simple minimally painful procedure gave me back my life, highly recommended!
