A catheter is much worse than a femal exam. I've had both. There is no pain with a femal exam. Only some pressure and may be a poke,but you barely even feel it. They have this instrument that they use to open you up...it's scary looking, but it doesn't hurt. I promise you ok. Relax. If you tighten up, the pressure is greater. They will feel inside, and push on your belly. You'll be fine. Catheter to me is much worse!!
Having a female exam is nothing to worry about. It is quick and painless. If u go to a female doc u may feel more comfortable also. The doc usually explains what they are doing. It does not hurt. U need to have the exam done yearly to keep you healthy. Don't be afraid. It will be okay.
female exams dont hurt if you relax. mine have never hurt unless i tighten up.. its really no big deal... get it done you need it..good luck..

way less painful. it dosnt even hurt. its just unconfortable. I had to get one at 13 and it still didnt hurt, i dont look forward to them, but no pain.
The catheter is way worse.A female examine, is a piece of cake don't b afraid.
i wouldn't know because i've never had a catheter, but 'female exams' aren't that bad... They're a bit uncomfterable & its wierd having someone stair at you spread eagle but they don't hurt.
i dont know but a female exam is really nothing.
I think you need to look at the female's anatomy a little closer before you ask if these two things are related- because they are not. They don't have anything to do with one another, and both aren't that painful.
