Ok painful lump what could it be?
Question:
Answers:
It could be several different things, including, but not limited to cysts, clogged sweat glands, or an STD. If it was oozing yellow puss, it may have been some sort of infection. (But please, in the future, never puncture something like that on your own again! You could cause a SERIOUS infection that way!) It's good that you are going to see your doctor. That's always the smart thing to do in situations like this. If it is some sort of infection or cyst, they will be able to give you pointers as to what to do next.
Clogged sweat glands just happen sometimes, unfortunately. It's a good idea to keep your self really clean down there to prevent them in the future. I recommend carrying something like Playtex's personal wipes with you, that way you can freshen up during the day.
Hope this helps!
barthalin cyst? if that's what it is, no biggie, they'll just drain it
btw:don't poke something in that area with a needle, you're asking for an infection. not to be preachy:)
This could just be something like a cyst, ingrown hair, or an STD/STI...good to hear that you're getting it checked out.. Do NOT poke it anymore with a needle- you could cause infection. Wear looser fitting pants, wash thoroughly, if it hurts to walk, then don't do any over activity.
i get this near my vagina but not on.
it sounds like a boil and dont worry doesnt mean your dirty.
just that it sweats down there a bit and especially if you have pubic hair.
just have a bath or shower once a day and wash with soap, non scebted as causes thrush and you will be ok.
It does sound alot like a cyst. One thing you can do before your dr appt, is to soak in a hot bath (as hot as you can stand it - as long as you're not pregnant) for 20 minutes a day. That will help to draw the infection closer to the surface. Epsom salts will speed the process. If it ruptures, be sure to keep it clean and call your dr to see if you should go in sooner than Wed.
