Piercing pls help?

Question:
i am female. considering to pierce my nipple. is it ok to breastfeed after a month of doing it. if i remove it during breastfeeding is that ok? can i breastfeed nromally?

Answers:
You should not have your nipple pierced until after you have had the last child you are going to have that will be breastfed. Any piercing will create some amount of scar tissue. That scar tissue in your nipple will block some ducts that would normally carry milk.

The bottom line is you would be reducing the amount of milk available and increasing the chance of an infected milk duct in you with a piercing.
nope! im 13 and im smart well not really btw. i have 6 pirceings and when you get wat ever pirced u have to wait 3 months to take it out duh!
Ive got both mine done...

7 months ago...Still not entierly healed, so I wouldnt really think its wise if you're going to be having sore nipples anyway from breastfeeding..Cos I, although not breastfeeding or anything, did not want anyone around that area...With or without the piercings..They're very sensitive..

I think wait until you're through with it.

Good luck!
I have both my nipples pierced and it takes a while for them to heal. I don't think you'd want anyone messing with them while they're still healing. I think it's great that you want them pierced because I love mine but I'd wait until you're done breastfeeding unless you've got a really high tolerance for pain.
You shouldn't do that because it takes longer than a month for the piercings and they will get irritated and be at risk of infection if you keep taking them out.
Also, breastfeeding will make them more prone to infection.
Hi there!
I did my project on nipple piercing and breastfeeding and I thought I'd share my knowledge with you.
I wouldnt recommend you to have nipple piercing if you are breasfeeding. I would wait until you are finished breastfeeding and then get the nipple pierced. A lot of reasons for this. First is because the metal could hurt the baby's oral cavity that are very delicate and soft. Second reason is there is a high risk of choking for the baby when the metal piercing comes off during breastfeeding. Third and the very important reason is when your nipple pierced, some of the milk ducts are blocked and the milk would not flow smoothly. The blocked milk ducts are very prone to infection and this may cause mastitis (or breast infection).
However, if you still consider to have nipple piercing, I would recommend you to remove them while breastfeeding. The downside is that when u remove the metal piercing, they tend to close pretty quickly as part of the body's natural healing process and you might need to re-pierce your nipple in the future.
Hope that helps!
why not wait til after you've finished breast feeding and then its not something you have to worry about. especially since your breast size and shape changes so much after pregnancy and breast feeding what you think might look nice now might not after
