Help Please!! Women only!?

Question:
I have a hard sore bump on my vagina area and I have no idea what it is it's really sore and it almost looks like a pimple but I don't think it is and I'm not sexually active so can anyone tell me what it is or how to get rid of it? Thanks

Answers:
Probably is a pimple, put a warm compress on it if it gets too bothersom otherwise make sure the area is clean and leave it alone. If it is still there or gets worst in the next few days go to the doctor. Dont worry, happened to me before and you tend to freak out more than necessary.
You may have a small cyst on your vulva. Go to a doctor and have him examine it.
it could be from sweat or if u shave maybe a hair bump. it will go away on its own or put a warm compress on it
Oh, I've heard of this, but I forgot what it's called.
Call a doctor and see what they say. If they dont like the way it sounds, they'll call you in for a check up. Make sure to not mess with it, and keep it sanitary for now. Good luck.
Buy some vaginal cream and use it before sleep. It will smoothen out..Maybe I can help you on that :-P
it is probley an ingrown hair exp. if you shave or remove the hair form down there It may sound wierd but try to pop it like it is a pimple and then you should see a little hair and just use tweezers and pull the hair out..

try soaking in a hot tub and keep some warm compress on it that will bring it to a head. u also need some antibiotics
May be a boil or hair bump, both hurt and it's easier to just deal with the pain, all at once and pop it, then to wait it out. (my opinion)
It's a cyst. It's like an ingrown hair type of thing. I have had two of them. Take a bath in hot water, and pour the water over that area or put a very hot wash cloth on it, and it will go down. More than likely you will need to go to the doctor, and have him lance it, and put you on antibiotics. If you wait, it will get bigger and bigger and it will HURT!

Don't try to squeeze it yourself. My doctor said, the infection can travel through your blood stream and make you sick.
Often the little glands in the vaginal area get inflamed and develop cysts. They can be very painful and certainly have nothing to do with sexual activity!

They can be treated with warm packs, or sitting in a warm bath. The tissue becomes firm as it is inflamed.

If this doesn't clear up, see your family doctor or gynecologist. You might need an antibiotic, but probably time will take care of it. Best to check it out though.

Hope this helps,
Karen
This could be a cyst. Just go to a doctor and have him check it out. Make sure you tell him when you noticed it and if it itches or hurts. But don't wait too long!
You could have an infected or ingrown hair. If so it will likely go away on its own. How long has it been there? If it doesn't disappear on it's own in another week then best to see a doctor. If you have never been sexually active, there's probably not too much to worry about. If you have been in the past it could still be something related to that regardless of the time lapse. So, same answer - see a doctor if it doesn't get better and try not to worry in the meantime!
It will go away on its own dont agervate it just let it go and it will go away.
Sounds like a barthelonian cyst. No big deal normally but can sometimes continue to swell and become more painful. In any case have a gyno check it out. It may need to be lanced. If so they will numb you with lidocaine first. These are not caused by sexual activity or STD's. It is usually a clogged lubrication gland. Use a mild unscented soap like Dove and wash with your hands instead of a washcloth cloth in the vaginal area. Do not shave against the grain of hair growth. These things will help prevent you from getting another one. In the meantime keep the area really clean and be on the watch for it to rupture itself. If it does then use an antibiotic ointment a few times a day and take extra showers for a few days. You could try warm sitz baths and warm compresses as well. If it does not rupture on its own do not wait until you cannot sit down or put on pants to see an OB/GYN. The bigger it gets the more extensive the treatment. I have seen these be lanced in an office setting but I have also seen them lanced in an operating room. It is filled with pus and I know it hurts like crazy so do what you think is best. I would go ahead and see a doctor. Alot of people wait until it is unbearable before seeking treatment because they are embarrased and think they have caught something. It is common so do not worry. The receptionist and the doctor you speak with will know and have seen these many times before. It is okay and you will be fine, see a doctor for your own comfort. They can make you miserable if you wait it out too long. Good luck.
