Confused and need help fast?

Question:
I just want to know why I haven't had a period since June 23,2007 but the doctor told me that I'm not pregnant and I'm off the birth cantrol pill can that have anything to do with my period or what does it mean please help me.

Answers:
Hey, I definitely don't want to scare you but since I suffer from some pretty serious reproductive diseases, I always want to warn women of the symptoms.

First, are you significantly over weight? I am not trying to make fun of you, but this can lead to irregular cycles. Also, have you recently gained or lost more than 10 lbs? This can also affect you.

I noticed a few women mentioned that getting off the pill can mess up your hormonal cycle and that is also true, so this may be a cause.

Here is what I want you to pay attention to:

Are you getting cramping sensations like you are going to start, but then you dont?

Have you spotted at all?

Are you more tired than normal?

Do you have erratic mood swings?

Have you had at any point, sharp shooting pains in your abdomen that just feel like some sort of femail pain?

If you answered yes to a majority of these, (or even a few) I want you to talk to your doctor about Endometriosis. This disease can cause irregular periods, pain and possibly infertility.

There are also symptoms such as PolyCystic Ovarian Disease (sometimes people call it a Syndrome and not a disease) that can cause mood swings, facial hair growth, cramping and irregular periods. It is basically pre-diabetes in women and it is thought to be caused by excessive weight gain.

Overall, just make sure you and your doctor are being proactive about this situation, give it some time, and ask for a referral to a specialist if you havent resumed a somewhat normal cycle within the next month or two.

Good luck hun!
It could be hormone related as a side effect of the birth control. Check your doctor about a hormone imbalance.
U say you saw the Doctor right? Did they have any thoughts? If you did not get enough info, see another one.
It can take up to three months for your body to adjust to not being on the pill anymore.

Also, if you didn't have regular cycles before you started the pill, then they are likely to go back to being irregular now that you are off the pill again. The pill doesn't fix your natural cycles, it just overrides them when you take it.
mayb u're under stress this is normla don wrry
if you were on birth control ,when you get off it it can take a while before your body gets back to normal .your period as to regulate it self again .but if it doesn't come on by the end of next month go back to see your doctor
Could possibly have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome)
